About Anne Shingleton

Anne Shingleton`s oils, drawings, pastels and etchings have been shown in many one-woman and group exhibitions in Britain, France, Holland, Italy and the United States of America, whilst her sculptures have met with applause and success in collecting circles there and in Denmark, Germany and Norway. In 1997 the Royal British Society of Sculptors elected her an Associate Member. The American Society of Sculptors did so in 2003.

Biography / CV of Anne Shingleton

Born in Salisbury in 1953, Anne has lived for many years now amongst Tuscan vineyards and olive groves halfway between Florence and Siena. Active as a professional artist in university days, in 1980-83 she pursued advanced studies in the classical techniques of figurative drawing and painting under the reowned and much beloved maestra Nerina Simi of Florence. Her oils, drawings, pastels and etchings have been shown in many one-woman and group exhibitions in Britain, France, Holland, Italy and the United States of America, whilst her sculptures have met with applause and success in collecting circles there and in Denmark, Germany and Norway. In 1997 the Royal British Society of Sculptors elected her an Associate Member. The American Society of Sculptors did so in 2003.
